First an introduction. My name is Shawn. I play with a rogue as a main in WoW, although I play many alts as well. I will be going over my thoughts on rogue design here, with occasional thoughts on other classes.

In my past, I was a PhD student in theoretical chemistry, studying protein folding via computational methods. I left after 3 years due to burnout, so you probably shouldn’t address me as Dr. During my education, I developed a greater intuitive understanding of complex and often chaotic systems, such as how various mechanics in this game work. I look at any interest with an academic attention to detail and I desire a holistic understanding of whatever task I am undertaking. I actually enjoy things that others may find mundane. I find thinking & reasoning stimulating.
